Sold Out (15th September 2008)
We are delighted to announce that Loopallu has sold out, that’s right, there are no tickets left for 2008. If you have missed out (so basically anyone who is not one of the 2500 ticket holders) we can only suggest you are quicker off the mark for 2009!
Loopallu - The Fringe (09th September 2008)
Coming to a venue in Ullapool, the Fringe features a mix of old and new acts with one common factor, entertainment, and crowd pleasing entertainment at that. The full list of acts and venues can be seen on the Fringe page of this very site, all you have to do is direct your cursor to the last button on the right hand side of the menu bar (marked Fringe).
Echo & The Bunnymen Headline Saturday (08th September 2008)
After much questioning and speculation it gives us great pleasure to reveal that Echo & The Bunnymen will head up the billing on Saturday night. The Liverpool legends (and favourites of ours) will make the trip to Ullapool fresh from a performance at the Royal Albert Hall earlier in the week. An iconic band, a stupendous line up, an unforgettable setting, where else would you want to be on the 19th & 20th?

New for 2008 we are pleased to announce a fringe tour ’Loop the Loop’ featuring one of the UK’s most talked about up and coming bands of the moment, Edinburgh’s Broken Records.
Harper’s Bazaar Highlights Loopallu in Hotlist (06th August 2008)
For those of you who have perhaps not yet picked up your copy of the August edition of Harper’s Bazaar you are missing out on an feature entitled Coastal Currents that details the best ways to enjoy the seaside, right now. The relevance of this, well Loopallu is listed as The Festival, which of course makes it the only festival they acknowledge in the article, something to smile about indeed.
Festival Favourites Flavour Line Up (03rd August 2008)
2008 will see the welcome return of both The Vatersay Boys and The Family Mahone to the Loopallu stage. You may also be interested to know that the Saturday night headliner has also been secured - who that/they may be remains a secret...for now at least!
More Bands & New Bands At That! (20th July 2008)
If you are a fan of new Scottish Music we do not think you could be more delighted as joining the party this year will be Frightened Rabbit and Broken Records. Expect blistering sets from these two bright young things.

In the early hours of Monday morning her Radio 2 show, Loopallu’s biggest fan, Janice Long, exclusively announced hotly tipped Liverpudlians The Rascals as the first act for this year’s festival.
