We’re really chuffed to announce our second batch of acts. (20th July 2010)
First up we can confirm one of the most eagerly anticipated new acts in the UK (having only played 2 London shows to date), Mt Desolation will be joining us on the Saturday in Big Top. Not only is this Alt-County group fronted by Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin (who are better known in their roles with Keane), their debut album due for release later this year also features performances from members of The Killers, Mumford & Sons, Noah And The Whale, The Long Winters and Pete Roe.

The Franz Ferdinand front man reminisced today about their headline appearance at Loopallu a couple of years back. Naming Loopallu and Ullapool as his selection for Radio Scotlands Secret Rock and Roll Map he hoped they’d be back some day. So do we!

With the snow hopefully now behind us, we feel its time to start looking forward to a long hot summer (we hope!), or at least a September.
Codeine Velvet Club Confirm Inverness Show (12th October 2009)
Ironworks on Academy Street is the location and Wednesday 2nd December is the date. After an outstanding performance at Loopallu we cannot wait to see them again. Tickets, priced at £8 (+ bf) are available from Ticketmaster.

...whose debut album charted at Number 11 this week in it’s first week of release. We think it’s a fantastic offering and are pretty sure you will agree. Well done to Marcus, Winston, Ben and Ted.

Lauren Laverne Recommends Loopallu (17th September 2009)
Grazia magazine this week features Lauren Laverne’s Must List which in turn features Loopallu (with a nod to Pearl And The Puppets as her pick) and indeed those other Loopalluers, Mumford & Sons.
Neville Staple replaced by Alabama 3 Acoustic Set (17th September 2009)
Due to illness Neville Staple’s has sadly had to pull out of appearing at Loopallu and passes on his apologies on to all those who had hoped to see him with his band this weekend. On a brighter note, Alabama 3 have agreed to step in at the 11th hour to fill the friday night with an acoustic appearance.
